It was a cold morning in Muizenberg; not even the brightly colored bath houses, could warm up the scene.

  1. Thanks, Nathan, for your kind words and for stopping by. The “boxes” are actually, individual/private changing rooms for swimmers and sunbathers. They’ve been on the beach, re-built and repaired, since the 1920’s. The peeling, layers of paint and the weathered, textured wood, are perfect subjects for HDR images.

  2. What an incredible image! I love the details and textures here that HDR processing really brings out. You can almost feel the peeling paint on the huts and the sky and other shoreline look cold. This really creates a sense of dichotomy in some way.
